2017Medical Charity Project Part II of Yeson Voice Center
Medical Charity Project organized and sponsored by KHIDI was managed from Oct 13th to Oct 27that Yeson Voice Center. The aim of this project is to promote Korea’s advanced medical technology and to financially help child patients from developing countries.
This time this special offer was given to Irina Cheles, 8-year-old girl from Moldova. She was firstly diagnosed with laryngeal papilloma known as a hardly curable disease.
For 3 years from 2012, Irina has had surgeries at Yeson Voice Center and nearly got her voice back with no difficulties breathing anymore but she couldn’t have further treatment back in Moldova due to financial difficulties.
Since 2016 she could have 12 times of surgeries in Russia for an year but the condition got worsened making it more difficult for her to breathe. To help her, Yeson Voice Center has invited her through this medical charity offer.
Irina was required to have 3 times of surgeries to improve breathing capacity and returned home and now she’s awaiting for further treatment back in Yeson Voice Center.
Dr. Hyung-tae Kim, the director of Yeson Voice Center said, “It’s very hard to cure this disease completely through the single time of surgery and the condition can get more deteriorated if they miss the golden time. I would like to help treat these children who cannot get the treatment at the right timing through this medical charity project.”
